Dr Divya Tiwari obtained a Daphne Jackson Fellowship, sponsored by the Royal Academy of Engineering, to work in the area of optical fibre sensors for carbon dioxide monitoring. Her previous research involved investigation of photochemical and physical phenomenon taking place on thin film ferroelectric surfaces. Dr Tiwari has a PhD in Nanotechnology from Cranfield University and a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, India. She has several years of industrial experience as an electronics engineer in the area of sensors and data communication products. She has published six papers in peer-reviewed journals.
